CEBV Fellowships |
The CEBV Fellowship program provides young people ages 16-22 with hands-on experience actively engaging with Arizona local and state government. The curriculum draws from the issues and causes young people care about and provides the tools to move a civic engagement project forward in the real world.
The program encompasses introductions to the levels of state and local government, effective communication and persuasion skills, attending and giving testimony at public meetings, researching and shadowing officeholders, and other tools in the activist tool chest. Participants emerge with a solid understanding of CEBV’s methods of engagement, a framework for progressive change in our communities and government, and prepared to actively participate in CEBV and other progressive organizations. The CEBV Fellowship is a nine week program, and participants receive a $1,500 stipend. This is a virtual program and is open to all residents of Arizona. |
"I’ve been reflecting on how much of an impact you’ve had on my life, and I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. The opportunity you gave me through the fellowship changed so much for me. You and your team not only sparked my love for political science but also gave me the confidence to believe in myself when others didn’t. Your encouragement and support meant more than I can ever put into words."

"I’ve learned so much about how to communicate with potential voters, and life skills like time management. This internship has been so much fun, and hard work. But honestly, if I had the chance to do it again, I would."
